Kazakhstan launches ADB-funded renewable energy integration project

ALMATY. June 9 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - Kazakhstan has embarked on a project, which is financed by Asian Development Bank (ADB) and aimed at integrating renewable energy sources into the country’s power grid, with $500,000 in initial funding already allocated, said Elvira Konakhbayeva, the director for strategy and sustainable development at KEGOC, the national power grid operator.
